Replating Adjustable Razors

Has anyone professionally replated an adjustable razor like a Slim, Fatboy, Toggle?

How was the outcome?

I bought 2 from a uk vendor who cleans, and replates them a 59 fatboy and 61 slim adjustable and i have to say they look amazing, i know this is not then original but i have quite a few vintage razors and cant see me re plating them but these were the first 2 i bought and as i said they do look amazing.

I sent a couple of Slims to Jet Hot Coatings . I had them coated in their sterling silver ceramic finish . The shave was even better due to the fact the razor travels much smoother over the skin now . Plus the look is killer .

So I can nickle plate a slim adjustable without taking it apart?

Think I'll try on a few other things before that

The cost for me was free . Got it through a friend that works at Jet Hot . The price for me if I had to pay would be worth it .


Also this coating will not wear off with daily shaving . You'd have to get out the bench grinder to touch that finish . Very durable coating . It works on car headers and manifolds , nuff said . Shaving is a joke to this finish .

I gave those to a relative a few years ago . Sorry no pictures to be had .
