Replacement for Clubman?

I just got off the phone with Clubman Customer Service and they confirmed that the entire line of Clubman Shave had been discontinued except for the bump fighter in the green bottle.

I used to use the Clubman "Aftershave" which was really an aftershave balm. It has received very good reviews on this forum. I particularly liked the fact that it left the face rather moisturized and claimed an "anti-aging" property primarily due to the infusion of caffiene(sp?). My brother-in-laws's wife actually used up his faster than he could use it for shaving purposes. She used it as a hand moisturizer and skin conditioner and swore by it.

Does anyone have any ideas as to a replacement with similar properties?

It is the aftershave/balm that came out a few years ago when Clubman introduced the Clubman/Shave line. It came in a plastic yellow and while tube. The line also had tube packaged shave cream, face wash, and shave gel. They are all discontinued except the aforementioned bump fighter which was packaged differently in a glass bottle.

Really? So they will be making no more aftershave lotions? I never even got around to trying them! (Sprints off to nearest Walgreens)

I've heard for a while that this was out of production, but I've seen big displays of it in beauty supply stores. It might be worth searching around to see if you can find any and then stock up.

Wow....:yikes:

Of course, not at all doubting your knowlegde and/or your infor, but it's strange that not a 'peep' is/was 'published' on their Home Website :confused1

Could it be that they are trying to keep this one 'close-to-the-vest'?

Your thoughts?

Do not confuse the Clubman/Shave "aftershave" balm in a tube with all of the other liquid aftershaves in bottles. American International Beauty offers the Clubman, Pinaud, Lustray lines as well as a few others in liquid form in bottles. This includes the popular Bay Rum scent and the widely debated Clubman Aftershave in liquid form. The discontinued product is a cream dispensed from a plastic yellow and white tube.

While browsing this site, I stumbled (staggered?) across the following caution for Clubman Pinaud Lilac Vegetal (http://texasbeautysupplies.com/cm271000.html):

"Professional Use Only"

I've got an image of a team of highly-trained emergency workers, clad in haz-mat suits, lifting a bottle of The Veg with a pair of long tongs, and placing it in a hermetically-sealed, blast-proof, stainless steel container.

Texasbeautysupply.com still offers the line. It can be found here.

Though it does not have Caffeine, Brut ASB is the most similar consistency-wise of all the balms I've tried.. (never heard of another one with Caffeine). I can live without the Clubman shave cream, but I'll definitely track down aother tube of the Clubman anti-aging ASB.. great stuff..

Hmmmm Professional Use Only for the Veg? I hope for Phil's sake he counts as professional.

So the plain ol' Pinaud Clubman splash isn't being discontinued? That's a relief.

My Pinaud Eau de Quinine also reads "Professional Use Only". Though, yes, it's especially suitable for the Veg.

If you read the "About us" you will see that website has no affiliation with the corporation at all. It is a website owned by an individual to peddle his product. Thats not the official Clubman website. I am referring to www.clubmanonline.com
