Recommend me a new soap/cream, please.

Hey guys.

I'm in the market for a new tub of cream or cake of soap, but nothing is jumping out at me so I thought I might trouble you for your help.

Here are some things I have and really, really like:

Creams: Trumper's Violet, Taylor's Avocado, Taylor's Lavender, Nancy Boy (signature scent)

Soaps: Mama Bears lilac and lavender and also lime ice

I recently tried Taylor's 'Mr. Taylor' and didn't like the scent at all.

Any hints? I don't really have a preference between soaps or creams, I like them both.

I like Mama bears Rosemary mint soap and for a cream I actually like the Derby Lemon which is only about 4 bucks a tube so I use it more when I travel.

Interesting. Have you ever tried the Nancy Boy cream? It's peppermint, lavender and rosemary. Very, very good.

Although I will be honest and say I have no idea what rosemary alone smells like!

'Just tried Provence Sante (not Pre de Provence). It's scent isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the lather was the best of any soap I've tried thus far.

I also wish to try Cella and Erasmic - very well spoken of.

I'm not very driven by scent - seems irrelevant to me, given that it exists only while shaving, to be washed away by post shave.

Experience the world of lanolin. Try Musgo Real or Godrej Delux for creams, or MWF for soaps.

Just used Pre de Provence soap for the first time yesterday. Recommend everyone use it! For creams, there's nothing better than T&H's Trafalger.

I have succumbed to SCAD and SSAD and now have 20 assorted soaps and creams. Easily topping the list for me are MWF and AoS (both Sandalwood and Lavender are outstanding). For anyone on a budget, an Arko shaving stick costs a couple of bucks and I also find it to be a top performer.

Try the boutique blends if that's your leaning, but do not overlook Proraso/Omega at half the price. They are not pedestrian creams at all.

Hello, have tried "C.C Bigelow" products? I just bought a tube of the one in the green box !! Man this had to be the best I ever had. I also just ordered 2 bars of Col. Conks soaps, "Bay Rum and the other is Amber glycerine. Can't wait to try out these soaps. Good luck picking there is so many out there.

To me 1805 smelled rose like. I really liked it.
