I read a post here where someone had mentioned that RazoRock had stop making the XXX soap/cream. Is this true? I don't recall how old this was.

Sad but true.
Its done. Maybe about a year now.
Joe just recently announced that RazoRock Cacao is being discontinued and there is a good possibility that Classic and Fresco will also follow.
i don't think there is an issue to lament as he brings out other great stuff.

Wow! Bummer! I still have a tub that I haven't used much. I see a lot guys don't like Don Marco much. Maybe that should be discontinued.
Joe didn't discontinue it voluntarily. The manufacturer doesn't want to produce it anymore, so he's selling off the Cacao stock. Same thing happened with XXX.
Have tried several of his products. XXX is still my favorite. Luckily I still have most of a tub left. The others I'm liking now are the King Louis and the 888 Eucalyptus. I think they're the same except for scent. Both excellent performers with lots of nice ingredients for the skin.
I won't miss XXX, but know lots will, so it's too bad it's gone. KL & 888 are the same formula and only scent makes then different, but they are very different from the XXX and superior in my mind.
the Shea Butter (Karite) line of RR is the best of the RR products I have used or tried.
I have a tub of XXX. I haven't used it yet. I am going to vacuum seal it for a special day or milestone. I may also give it to a buddy or my dad when the time is right.
My favorite Razorock soap is Third Eye. It is a top three soap for me (with Proraso Red and MWF). I will have three tubs of Third Eye in my next IB cart. I also plan to go ape shiz and order five, six, seven or more tubs of different Razorock soaps on my next IB order. One thing for sure, when the zombies come, I will be well-kempt

It has a slickness some of the other RR do not. It IS ADP the $65.00 acqua di parma. Some have said it is not but digging around it is supposed to be the same formula as it is made by the same artitisans. Only 5,000 were made and there will not be any more. If you really miss it you can get ADP. I have 6 unused and 1 actively using. I snatch them up here and there. It really is a luxury product. It is special stuff on its own never mind the crazy price it was.
I'm looking forward to the Evil Eye (lime) karite soap out later this year!

Heh. It's definitely a sweet sort of smell, but I like it now and then. Personally, I just don't find the TFS soaps to be in the same league with the LOA or the Karite lines, but still decent performers.
It's unfortunate about RR products. I never used XXX but I do have a tub of Cacao that I enjoy. It's a great product to watch go away.
I have a full tub of XXX that I received as part of a trade, before I realized that it's out of production. It smells really nice, and I'm looking forward to using it. I hope I don't like it so much that I regret trying it. Seems like a shame that he stopped making it.
I don't know about anyone else, but when I find a soap that I like, I want it to be something that's going to be around ten years from now. Take Tabac, for example, some have been shaving with it for 30 years – now that's impressive!

Good point Anderman, funny when you can't have something you want it more.
It was said XXX was an experiment in packaging and perception as it is ADP in a cheaper container. If you are making and selling something for $55.00 more you are not going to re-brand it for long. I am looking forward to trying some Dr. Harris and Trumpers and that will be a lot of soaps I have tried. If DR harris is not like XXX I would buy ADP when all my XXX is gone. XXX is NOT the same as other RR with a different scent. I use KL a lot and love it with the lavendar wax but it is no XXX.

Exactly. Like how everyone wants P.160 all of a sudden, myself included.
Which reminds me, I should really give Razorock's R-160 a try.

I have some R-160 and N0.888. I think both are very good. I would have to say I like No.888 more though. I would like to try the other RR products men have mentioned here, but I have so much stuff now I have yet to use. I still have a full tub of XXX and half a tube of ADP. Believe me..... they are not the same thing. I still haven't tried T&H Trafalgar shave cream and aftershave balm, and the Ultimate Comfort shave cream,aftershave balm and pre-shave oil that I have samples of. I heard good things about these.

I thought it had already been established that RazoRock XXX was indeed repackaged ADP. Am I missing something?
