Razor Blade Storage

Yesterday I started looking around for a better way to store and organize my growing stash of blade-apocalypse preparedness. I looked at several options and then realized I had some parts storage boxes in my study. I settled on this one and it worked out nice.

I showed it to my wife who said "What? They're not in alphabetical order. That's not like you." She tends to think of me as OCD.

That's pretty cool. The compartments are nearly the exact size of the razor blades.

I remember being with my father when he stopped in to see this fellow who had a wood working shop. Everything had a place, and everything was in its place. You are that guy, I bet. Not me. My blades are in my sock drawer, and they aren't organized.

Nothing too glamorous here, just a cardboard box with loose blades in a small manila envelope.

I thought I was compulsive, but danggg . . .

Part of me is jealous. I prefer box 1, by the way.

Currently have my blades in a big Ziploc in the bathroom closet, high up away from kiddy hands.

I like the look of that!

I have something similar in the garage for screws, nuts, washers, etc. One of those with 20 or so drawers would be sweet. ...adding to shopping list for next hardware store run.

Well, I've been that guy. I'm in somewhat of remission. My wife is the opposite and she brings me back to a more normal state.

I've had it for years and never used it. I'm sure I picked it up a Harbor Freight for next to nothing.

The drawers will hold 10 5-blade tucks of GSBs or other tucks of that small standard size. For Feathers and others in the plastic packs they must be turned lengthwise and it will hold five of those.

Here is an angled view of the same case to give you a better idea. Here in Canada Staples, Walmart and a few other places I'm sure carry them.

Stealing these ideas and now on the lookout for blade storage options, currently got the cardboard box method.
