Radio ad for a "hot shave"!

$40 is better than the cost of a Truefitt and Hill shave! The "local" one looks to charge about $65 for a shave. Definitely not something for every week (Hell, not for every MONTH), but something that I would like for my birthday as a present to myself, or from the wife and kids.

But, I'd have to travel over 100 miles to get it!:thumbdown

Odds are you'll enjoy the pampering but very dis-satisfied with the shave.
Worst case, you'll walk out with streams of blood coming down your face (true story, I'll never let anyone else shave me again!)

Better make sure the shave is going to be with a St8. Places are starting to offer hot shaves and using a catridge razor. Would you pay $30 to $40 for someone to shave you with a Fusion? Also the $30 will be a pass shave WTG. Add $10 for ATG. Seen this pricing in other places.

One last thing about this: They are calling them
stylists, which leads me to believe the training they have is not from a true barber school. Try to find a certified master barber if you can. Find out before you have someone put a blade to your face.

if I went out for a hot shave here it's $10 by the Marine base. Thats what actually got me started straight razor wet shaving.

Bahaha. A $40 shave with a fusion. I wouldn't pay them.

Ho-hum so much for being excited! It definitely isn't an old school barber shop. I have seen some around here, but none that I've been to still do straight shaves.

$10 sounds a lot better! And I'd only pay that much for a shave for the experience, if I had money to burn, and probably only once.
