Questions for Shavers of the 50's, 60's, and 70's

I started shaving my peach fuzz on my upper lip in 1976, started shaving every day by 1978. My dad has a light beard and while I remember him having a DE razor when I was little, by the time I was 14 he had tossed it and started using electrics. When my mom finally put her foot down and told me to shave my upper lip, Dad gave me an electric as my first razor, and it did fine on that peach fuzz, but I soon grew into my beard and it was just too tough for the electric. So I did what all my buddies did, I went to Zayre and grabbed a Trac II, along with a can of Noxzema shaving cream. I grew to love Noxzema, but I first bought it because, well, because of the girls in the commercials. :)

Then it was cartridges and cans until 2014. I remember DE razors, but in 1978 they were old-fashioned, and we were young and cool and all about the new technology of the Trac II. Brushes and soaps? Those were things I only saw in old black-and-white movies.

So glad I found B&B and started on this journey!
