Question on the Cobra Classic

Mine has "play" up and down when loaded certainly not as secure as i thought it should be, it was bought in feb or march this year a bad batch perhaps??

Works well enough ( shaved with it last night ) however has always been a niggle in the back of my mind that the QC was a bit lacking or perhaps its meant to be like that.

One of my Cobra's is still on tour, but I checked the one that returned home and it is like Jon's: no play.

Michael, if it the one that I used, there was no play at all. The spring loaded ball detente on top of the latch worked as it should and put enough pressure on the head to keep it from moving.

It looks like the price went up; they used to be $145.

that was like 18 months ago.

They went from 165 to 169 just recently. Mine has a little play but not that would effect shaving. Only issue I've noticed is the tolerance of the pro guard blades. First one wouldn't fit until I flipped it over. Then just barely fit.
