Question on the 3Ts (TOBS, Trufitt, Trumpers)

I am looking at slightly expanding my Den to try a few popular software and also to prepare for the upcoming 2014 Sabbatical :001_tongu. I have been reviewing quite a bit of threads about the 3Ts. Are they known more for their tub of creams or for their soap pucks? Based on what I have read, their creams get most of the hype and love. Am I missing something?

I have a tub of Castle Forbes Lavender on the way and looking to only get one additional tub from one of these makers.

No,I don't think you are 'missing something'. Although I can only give an opinion re Trumpers and T&H, I think that both these companies creams are much, much better than their soaps. I suggest you get a tub of Trumpers Coconut. An absolutely superb cream,IMO. I think you'll love the CF Lavender by the way.Its one of my top 3 or 4 creams.

I went the samples route from all three and they're all great creams. That said, Trumpers Coconut, T&H 1805 and TOBS Grapefruit were my favorites. Performance across all three is top notch, scent-wise I definitely liked some more than others (most of Trumpers seemed geared toward folks who are a bit more...experienced than myself). Hard to go wrong with almost anything T&H or TOBS.

haven't tried the trumper's but the tobs and t&h creams are outstanding. you can't go wrong w/ any of them as long as you like the scents. if you want soaps, go for dr harris or one of the artisans.

I'd say that T&H and Trumpers beat out TOBS by a thinly shaved hair IMHO. But any one of the three would be a good choice.

3Ts creams are very good. I used Truefitt & Hill 1805 cream today, I love the stuff.

Alas, the soaps were once good.

I have used Trumper's Spanish Leather (comes in a tube only) and found it to deliver an outstanding scent along with performance. TOBS coconut and shave shop have mild, yet distinct scents, and are also top notch.

as they say in the potato chip commercial, you'll never stop with "just one" additional tub!
go the sample route and you can get a dozen or more tiny tubs.
after all, there is NO MONOGANISM is shaving any more!

Thanks guys for the information in help. Based on your opinion/experience, which one of them offers the best "Rose" cream?

Hello Atalk,

I've tried all the Rose creams made by these companies and to me,by far, the best Rose is the one made by Truefitt and Hill. Its an excellent all around cream that makes a superb lather and has a very genuine scent.

I recently got T&H Trafalgar and the Sandlewood.
I put them slightly ahead of Trumpers in the lathering and moisturizing department.
If you like clean fresh scents the Trafalgar is an eye opener, very nice.
The only Roses I have tried are TOBS and Trumpers, I bought the trumpers even though a lot of folk think it smells over powering; that and it discolours some brushes so I've heard but it didn't discolour my Kents.

I think T&H are going to be my go brand of creams from now on.

I also have Trumpers Violet soap and find it quite good, not as good as MWF but then again what is.
It's what I'd call a hard soap and doesn't look like it's been used despite being used at least twenty times unlike MWF that shows the battle scars of use.

In short the 3Ts creams are awesome and their soaps are definitely YMMV candidates.

Where are you getting these sample sizes? I've been looking everywhere, but have been just buying the standard size tubs.
