Unfortunately there's no store where I can feel the balance of the Barley (3.88oz) vs the Chatsworth Ebony (2.5oz). I would think the additional weight would be a plus going ATG and XTG, but I was wondering if owners of the Barley find the additional weight more awkward when going ATG and shaving the mustache area. Buying one of each to compare is not an option at this time.

By Barely I am assuming the all metal version. Have been using one for about a week or so, and it is very comfotable going in all directions. No balance issue (for me) whatsoever. My only problem, and it is minor, is that the Muhle head is a little too "mild" for my taste. But I have been using a Feather blade, 3 passes (WTG, XTG & ATG) and a polishing pass, and I consistently get BBS.
