Question for Aussies

... apologies if this is in the wrong area.

I ordered some Royall Bay Rum from an Australian vendor that I found in the wiki. discountperfume.net.au

Anyway the money was direct bank deposit and they have had my money for 15 days now. I have tried emailing them and calling but there is no response and it appears the phone has been disconnected?

Have any Aussies here had any luck with this store???:cursing:

That's a bummer!

I ordered from them last year also as this was the only place in Oz that was selling Royall. It's not the cheapest but it's local.

I think it took a bit to get to me but I might be mistaken. It doesn't sounds good that you're not getting anything from the email/phone.

I originally bought from them as they were recommended at work. The selection is large and the prices are ok.

I usually pay via paypal so I can at least raise a complaint and paypal will go after them (hopefully).

I could always try to send them an email on a random question and see if they get back to me.

I tracked down the owners mobile phone number via google! I called him and mentioned to him the problem and he gave me an email addy that bounced.

I have SMSd him and will see what happens.
Regarding Paypal, I saw they were paypal certified and had other cards accepted which gave me confidence at the time. When I went to check out there was only a direct transfer available - I assumed it was just because my address showed local??

Anyway, I have his details and will take it to consumer affairs to chase up if need be and he will be getting a lot of phone calls from various locations:biggrin1:

On the flip side I ordered some stuff from Nathan at Mensbiz yesterday and he was super excellent in his communications and service!

Nathan is very good and efficient. Ordered a few times from him, never had a single problem!
 
Yes, Nathan was top notch.

I also sent an email from the Mrs asking about a potential Creed purchase? LOL.

... well, it arrived.

Whilst it took a while, from my perspective I am happy it actually arrived.

Regarding the company that sent it - well they do need much better customer service - working phones would be a good start.

I am happy with the product - the cost was okay, the service was poor. I think I could order from somewhere like FragranceX for around the same price delivered (maybe a bit less?) with no hassles or worry and delivered in the same or less time

The company has some good products for Aussies but I would open up dialogue with them via email before dropping big bucks.

The Bay Rum is wonderful though - fantastic packaging and truly a wonderful wiff.

Good to read that you got it. Unfortunate that you had to do what you had to do to reach them!

yea, the Mrs didn't get a response either??? Its crazy really, if you google the name you will find this post from an ambivalent customer.
