Public Humiliation Thread

I have been thinking about publishing this photo for some time now, but the embarrassment of the whole thing has kept me from doing so. This was my first shave with a traditional razor (before I found B&B). I did not realize that you had to use different technique when using a DE than you do when using a Trac II. So, I bought a Parker DE and a pack of Feather blades and proceded to go to town. I was always a stickler for close shaves so I dug the Feather into my face with incredible pressure and after several passes, this is what I looked like!

Thank goodness I found B&B! My technique has markedly improved since then. I have used straight razors exclusively for about a year and a half and now seldom see even a weeper. If you are just starting out, have hope. If I came from this mess to where I am now, you can too!

Don't look unless you really really want to.

Mind you, this was after I had rinsed my face and cleaned most of the blood and gore off! It is a wonder that I kept up with it at all!

Does anyone else have embarrassing photos of shaving related experiences that did not go as planned?

All I have to say is OUCH and I give you a lot of credit. I would have thrown my DE in the garbage if that happened to me.

Wow, how long did you wait before your next shave?!

About 3 or 4 days. Then I was much more careful.

Looks like BBS!!!!

Actually, it was the incredibly smooth feeling I had on those parts of my face that I was still able to touch that got me to come back for more.

GOOD LORD!!!! Why did you keep going after cuts 3 ..4...5

Lunacy? Pride? Stupidity? Combination of all of the above, maybe?

Wow! You're even missing your right ear!!!

Now now, I don't know what one of B&B's fine moderators has to do with this. LOL ( see bolded )
Op I give you credit for going after a BBS no matter how much blood you shed.:letterk1:

Great idea for a thread, I wish I would have taken my picture after my first, or after I got a little too comfortable with my shavette.

I admire your determination. I don't think there is anyway I would have finished that shave. In fact I probably would have grown a beard. Bravo!

Wow, that is quite the shave you have there! I actually give you a ton of credit for sticking with it and seeing the good that can come with DE and SE shaving. Do you have any lasting scars from this shave?

Your first shave was with a Feather. THat is awesome! I personally would have thrown everything in the garbage and walked away.

Cheers

Again kudos for hanging In there your a better guy than I. Welcome to the club.
PS there's NO way I would put the bay rum on if that was my face.(healing factor aside).
