New member here and I've searched the forum for anything related and got a couple of hits but nothing with my problem. So here goes
I am suffering from Pseudofolliculitis barbae aka ingrown hairs on the back of my head. It started years ago when I was in my early twenties when I used to get fades and tapers on the neck line. I had to stop when they started to pop up. Doctors are not helping me, they'll just throw some antibiotics and creams, all failed. Even though after looking at them carefully they don't seem like the traditional ingrown. Sorta like zits and bumps. I've even had the hairs pulled out (which had me crying) The only thing that really worked to control the inflammation of the bumps is Tend skin.
Friends tell me to grown my hair out and it will go aways, I've done that countless times. I even stopped shaving my head with any type of blade and stuck to clippers with a #1 attachment so I don't touch the skin. I considered to take a single edge blade and slowly shave them off.
Thanks for reading.
Here is a pic.
