Proraso LARGE 500 ml Tube

Has anyone tried emptying the large 500 ml tube of proraso into a shaving cream tub or jar? I'm curious how well it stores, and if you've had any problems with it. I prefer tubs and jars to tubes.

I have put some of it in a glass jar of used up cream and it works very well. I also have filled up little plastic containers for travel and giving it away to friends.

I read somewhere else on this forum that it would dry up and be very very very similar to proraso soap...

Am I doing the math correctly? Doesn't 500 ml equal just over 16 oz.? If that is correct, I think the jar I would need to hold all that proraso would be a bit difficult to use. I'd need an awfully large brush to get to the bottom of that jar. Stubblefield may be right -- it's better used as a pillow. An awesome pillow full of shaving goodness.

Now here's the question: is that a reason to not buy the 500 ml tube, or is it an excuse to buy a really big brush? 28 mm Shavemac, perhaps?

Just get an empty 500ml tub of Proraso Pre Post.

In fact mine nearly is empty, I'm tempted to get a tube and fill it up.

Ok, I've blown up and scanned that label, but don't see anything that looks like an expiration period - Little help here, pointer? Tip?

There's a little jar with a 12 on it,
i think it means 12 months if i'm not mistaken///

heres a picture of what i mean

Feels like a stupid question, but I don't know the answer: Does that mean it has a 12 month shelf life (if unopened), or it should remain good for 12 months after opening? I am guessing it refers to the unopened shelf life.

Nope,
its 12 months after its opened

some are 6 some are 12 some 18 i think i have a jar of pomade somewhere that says 36m

BUT,
i have a BIG tub of one cream that's been open for 2 or 3 years past ist 12 month expiry date and doesnt seem any different than the day it was opened. i think its there for legal reasons

I've got the 500ml pre/post and the 500ml cream tube and have been using them for over a year at least a few times a week and still have over half of each left. The cream is the very same as the day I opened it and the scent is just as strong. Great stuff

incredible bang-for-buck Proraso products. honestly, how many quality products are there that cost a couple of cents per use.

I use the large sizes of Proraso products; I find the tube of creme a little too hard to handle with slippery hands at 7:00 AM, so I squirt a few ounces into a capped jar, and use that daily, refilling as needed.
