Products you have just thrown away

Which product have you tried that you just threw away rather than mess around with? I for one would rather pif than pitch, but there was one product I decided the B&B collective would be better without, and I like to keep friends rather than make enemies. That product was:

L'homme Durance

Absolute crap, hated it, tossed it.

How about y'all, which ones did you put out of their misery?

There are a couple of razors I've got which are flat out broken, but which I didn't return because they came as part of lots which included good razors. They sit around for whatever they may be worth as display items. I guess "product" was probably intended to mean consumables like soaps, though. Anything that I buy will get used eventually, or at least sit around indefinitely with the theoretical possibility of being used. If it doesn't work very well, it's kind of a point of pride to use it up anyway.

New formula Erasmic shave stick was on the edge, but I found that when I milled it up and mixed it with some fragments of another soap, it was usable.

I have thrown away some free samples of aftershaves, though.

If I don't count broken razors. Mmm, I didn't throw anything out, I PIF them and warn the receiver that I didn't like it for X reason. Sometimes, what I hate is what the other person loves!

I recently bought a block of Lebanese olive oil soap. Smelled like soap in the wrapper, smelled like mouldering cheese when wet
Straight into the trash can it went. It was only a couple of bucks.

Bert's Bees SC - and yes, I knew it was non-lathering when I bought it. It still sucked.

Shogun blades (the ones in the box with the Feather-looking cardboard cover). I didn't even get through the first pass with them.

I've got a big bottle of somebodys Bayrum splash that I really don't care for. I haven't brought myself to throw it away just yet. Usually if I don't like something I'll just PIF it to someone who does but I really don't want to inflict this on anyone.

Although I haven't tossed it away, I was really turned off by The Real Shaving Company's Self-Heating Shave Mask.

I'd feel bad about trying to sell it on the BST. I'd even feel guilty about PIFing it away. It was really THAT bad.

current formulation Williams, and the non-tallow Ersamic stick are pretty unusable, but they ended up used as hand soap.

Actually meeting the trash can were:

-Burt's Bees Shaving Cream; had a small sample tube. Knew it was brushless, but even as a brushless cream it just flat out sucks.

-The Real Shaving Company Facial Scrub: the product has actual ground up walnuts in it!! It felt like rubbing sand into my face. No Thanks!!

-Prairie Creations Oatmeal Milk and Honey: it was pifed to me because the previous owner found it burned their face. I found that to be the case as well. The burning sensation was mild, but not worth suffering with.

Most products I don't like have been, or will be PIFed away.

Regretted tossing:

-empty GFT wooden bowl AFTER using the soap
-EJ mach3 handle

My wife got me both as a gift. Probably never would've used the handle, but it was quality English shaving equipment

Did not regret PIFing:

-vertical Derbys

how bad is it? to much bay leaves

Royal Violets cologne...saw it on the shelf at CVS for $3.99. It didn't smell very good at all, kind of cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. Btw, I just learned that it's used primarily for kids.

For the record, it's not used primarily for kids, though it is used frequently on kids in the Hispanic community. It's sold in most Hispanic oriented grocers in the mens shaving section.

The closest I've come to tossing a product is the Kiehls Lite Flight Shave Cream for the Brush.

Shaves ok, but terrible lather, and the "Lavender and Eucalyptus" scent is almost non-existent, leaving a slight medicinal smell.

(Kind of like the lavender in the AOS cream)
