Prices for international posting?

Hi all, I tried to buy some Kia replaceable straight razor blades here in the U.K. with no joy. I asked on here if any members might know where I could get some. A very kind member told me to try a U.S. company called Razorbladesandmore.

Good news....they kept them and only $19. BAD NEWS + $37.60 for P&P.......$56.60 for a packet of blades

I will add that there should have been an option of $10 for international postage....but was not available

I feel that this company is extracting the proverbial urine

In my experience some US companies are not very interested in shipping to Europe. As an example I wanted to buy a Cobra Classic Razor from Classic Shaving. Their conditions for shipping to Europe are archaic to say the least(you have to send them photo id. and a photocopy of your credit card before ordering). They claim that fraud is rife in Europe and this is the reason for their, in my opinion excessive precautions. Surely if pay-pal is used their risk is minimal as they don't ship anything until they have recieved their money. I contacted them by mail to see if they had a UK distributor, they replied not and that the Cobra was only available to their American clients. I've since found out that this is incorrect and have sourced a Cobra in the UK.
Personally I think it would be more honest just to say they don't want to ship to Europe.
On the other hand I have had no problem purchasing from Razor Emporium and Above the Tie.

Have you tried emailing RB&M? Could be a website glitch (the unavailable $10 shipping)

I have dealt with many U.S companies and never had any problems with this sort of thing
