Proof Razor Customer Service Issues

Hi guys
I am hoping to get some advice.

I have one of their razors and I have just tried to claim on there lifetime warranty and I have been knocked back.

I live in the UK and purchased the razor through highproofrazor.co.uk. When I initially got the razor, the head would occasionally come off when shaving. This did not happen every time. Unfortunately, it now happens each time I use it and I've come to the conclusion that its dangerous. I shave in the shower and having the head and blade come out is not good.

I contacted Proof Razors to get a replacement and I was told that there lifetime warranty does not apply to international orders. They told me to send it back to the USA and they would refund me. I've done that but they have refused to refund and are now sending me back a dangerous razor.

They have told me to contact the retailer that I bought it from. I thought I had bought it from their UK website. It is looks like it was a different company. To make matters worse the highproofrazor uk website is no longer functioning. It doesn't look like the UK company is alive anymore and wouldn't be able to provide any support/

Has anybody managed to get support from Proof Razors lifetime guarantee? I can't even find there T&Cs on their website. Does anybody have any senior contacts at Proof Razor who may help me?

Although I bought the razor from a different company, am I being naive to think that the company that made the product, should support the product?

"We stand by our craftsmanship with a lifetime warranty, ensuring your Proof Single Blade is the last razor you'll ever need" but only if it suits them. Yes, morally. Legally? Well that'll come down to international law, State laws and so on ... all of which make what they've written there absolutely without value. I think the niggle here is that you bought it from a third-party and so the producer cannot vouch for the product.

But having the actual razor in their hands for inspection, clearly this company does not stand by their product, they sell a potentially dangerous product which has material issues and should clearly be avoided.

I had the same problem with V1. Every time I would swoosh it in the sink, the head would fall off. I sent admin a video of the problem. I received a replacement razor within weeks - USA to Australia. No cost. I did order it on the Highproof USA website though.

On the other hand, who cares where it was purchased? That has nothing to do with protecting brand reputation by replacling faulty product.
