Im currently in the market of buying a new DE safety razor. I like the EJ 89 an the EJ 86. Can someone tell me what the numbers mean like the 89 or 86 an the letters too in the razors name like the Edwin Jagger DE89 BS? What does all those numbers and letters mean an stand for? Thanks Friends

I think the Edwin Jagger razor heads are the same, but the handles differ according to model number. Be sure to pick a good one!

I had the same confusions when I bought my Edwin Jagger. The model number refers to the handle and finish more than anything. The vast majority of their razors use the same head.

Just pick the razor you think looks the best. They all use the DE89 head.
