Playstation 4

Well, it's about that time. I failed to pre-order the PS4 as I just wasn't thinking about it. I've never been the urgent type. I wasn't even going to purchase it any time soon however my wife suggested that I get it as a Christmas gift this year(can you tell we're big on surprises?) I drove by Best Buy this afternoon and there were already a number of brave souls out there in tents and blankets. I kept it moving. Stopped by the GameStop and went in and the gentleman said they had some extras they would start selling at 6pm and you could pick them up at midnight tonight. I drove by at about 5:30 and there were only a few people out front so I got in line. I was lucky enough to only wait a half hour and be able to purchase a ticket to go back tonight at midnight. I'll unbox it and start playing it tomorrow afternoon as I'm usually in bed by 10pm so I'll be ready to sleep when I get home tonight.

Anyone else getting one? What games do you think you'll be getting? I got Call of Duty Ghosts for now but Battlefield 4 is next for me.

My wife is a SONY PlayStation Marketing Rep and we are at a Midnight Launch as we speak.... (I'm not a Gamer.... But she is such a doll I put up with it)

Wait until some games are out and the prices go down. There are reports of PS4s arriving DOA so it's best to avoid these times. I got a 360 near launch and it RROD'd a year later, my friend had a pre-ordered launch PS3 and it died too.

But I have a PC and the specs of these consoles are hardly near my old rig in 2009 so....no hurry. By the time I save up the rpices will have gone down and I can get the X1 and PS4 to compare, but I'm thinking PS4 first.

Only game I really want right now is Battlefield 4 because I heard they have 64 player games with the PS4. Other than that the release games have been pretty lack luster.

Well after seeing the teaser for Uncharted I will wait for the game of the year bundle still have a lot of games to play on my PS3

For me, basically Naughty Dog's games, where as Microsoft has Forza Motorsport 5. It isn't the hardware that I'm into as much as the games.

I'm leaning to picking up a PS4 sometime in the Spring, after the demand has settled down. I skipped the PS3 in lieu of the 360 (it supported backwards compatibility and more of my friends were getting them.

Now, many years later, all they play is the latest COD. I burned out after Black Ops 1...

So, I'm still playing Borderlands 2 and Xcom on the360 and will probably pick up GTA 5 to keep me entertained for the next 6 months or so.

The hardware is pretty much a wash. One of the only reasons I plan on getting a PS4 is for MLB the Show which is my favorite sports game. I'm sure both are going to be good systems.

Having owned both the PS3 and the Xbox360 Ive always preferred the Xbox. Better controller, menus, online play, I can stream HBO on it where as PS3 I cannot.

Xbox One has the Forza games, Halo,
PS4:MLB The Show, Naughty Dog games like Uncharted maybe The Last of Us II(not even announced yet but Id bet they are gonna have a sequel).

Same here, i might just wait to buy the PS4 until next christmas. Or, when i see one of my favorite games out for it.
