Sounds like Black Frigate or Blockade Runner, two blends that sound great but I have yet to try.
Here is a GBD that I cleaned up myself. I love the stem on this one.

A 1950s Comoy Zulu I picked up and restored. The stem is unmarked so it could be a replacement, even though it is a perfect spot on fit.
Thanks Mike. The other two are "ship pipes" - they pretty much stay onboard all the time - but I brought that Pete (and the Dunhill Flake) along for this trip.
