Nice. Did they make a razor hone as well? Seems like I have one.

Edit: The razor hone was called the Black Beauty.

That stone has been a place or two. Glad it’s coming back to the states.

For some reason those don’t bring much. I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts on it. I’m sure it’s a Thuri but I don’t think anyone has ever confirmed that.

I was bidding like it's a dark blue thuri.
Only place I have seen them was on a video by period woodworker. Here is the link, starts at 10:08.

I just found/bought this cool piece off the bay. I don’t own a scythe but I couldn’t pass on this as I love old labeled Pike stuff (I’ll post my others soon). I may have overpaid but it’s hard to tell with this Pike stuff sometimes. Got it for a single Benjamin, but it’s worth it to me. I’ve never seen one before.

An oldie but goodie. Pike Black Diamond with the best label I ever seen. It looks black and white but it was in color but inks are mostly faded

Wow! I literally just posted pictures of the exact same stone/label after having recently finding it. I had never seen it before and it was in excellent shape, including the label, so I grabbed it. I posted in this thread but here are pics of it. Have you ever used it?

So these two labels have been pulled off of my 8x2x1 in Pike Washitas that are in the OG wooden boxes. I actually didn’t do it, the previous-previous owner did, and applied the best looking replica labels I’ve ever seen (these labels legit look real and would pass for 95% of buyers probably without them suspecting a thing).

The No. 1 Washita label has seen better days, but the Lily White is in spectacular condition. I put them in these little cheap magnetic frames to store/display them.

I’m also attaching a photo of the Lily White stone itself with the replica label this dude made and applied (next to the real original label) to show the difference.

A couple more…. Pike Size 4 Hard Arkansas Translucent Jewelers Stone (absolutely perfect cut/shaped stone) with a beautiful butterscotch color.

And then a bit of an anomaly as the stone/hone itself bears a Pike branding/label, but the box is labeled Norton. I was told that it was almost certainly manufactured when Norton bought out Pike and took over. That would explain the hone itself having a Pike marking while the box it sold in was labeled with Norton.
