Old - Old Spice?

I was looking in an antique mall last week and ran across a vendor's booth that had a lot of old perfume bottles. Most of them were Avon. Some had product in them, most were empty. There were two lighthouse decanters one empty, one full. On the full one there is a sticker that has Old Spice written in the Old Spice script with the onces and ingredients also on it. They had the lids taped on so I couldn't check the scent.

Would this scent still be good? Anyone know about these decanters?

Probably, my mom gave me a bunch of my late dad's Old Spice stuff (After Shave, Cologne and Talc) a few months ago. These bottles hadn't been opened since 1971 and they all still smell great. I wish I had more of the talc, I ran out last summer.

I have collected Old Spice stuff for about 10 years, so I know a little bit about it.

The lighthouse decanters were put out from the mid 1970s through the end of the 1980s. Odds are that the full one's contents are still good, unless it was stored in a place with extreme temperatures.

If it's cheap, buy it and if the stuff has turned, you've got yourself a nice decanter for Ivy Club.
