Hey guys, I had found a thread about this topic but it was from 2011 and I didn't want to revive an old thread, just in case the forum moderators don't like it.
So after I read the thread I did a search online and I found the South Korean Skin Bracer after shave and balm, on a website that sells underwear for men and other skin care products. They ship worldwide wide for 10 bucks USD. The Skin Bracer after shave and the balm were 28 USD all together.
It arrived yesterday through the mail and I was disappointed as I expected glass bottles just like the European versions so that I can keep the bottles and decant US juice in it later on, but they come in plastic bottles. The bottle design despite it being plastic is awesome, it is a modernized retro design based on the SB glass bottles from the 70's/80's, and the cap/spout is flawless which is way better than the US versions cheap flimsy design.
Now, on to the disappointing part although it is a solid after shave and balm overall, it can't hold a candle to the US version. This also applies to the European versions of SB, Brut, and Aqua Velva as they are weaker in both scent potency and the menthol kick. The menthol kick on this Korean version is almost non existent, the scent seems to be missing some notes that I detected in the US version.
I feel kind of disappointed for blowing the 28 dollars plus 10 dollars for shipping, when the US version is only 5-7 dollars tops depending on where you buy it. The balm smells exactly like Afta original after shave balm and it is probably Afta, which you can also find in stores all across the US.
All in all they are great products but not what I expected...
