Oddball GEM Junior (Bar) Lather Catcher?

Has anyone seen a GEM Junior like this before? I've never seen a long-handled Lather Catcher like this one, and the bottom of the handle has the threads for something to be screwed into it. Is this an aftermarket handle? Anyone know anything about this? It has the pat dates of a normal GEM Jr bar...

its a 1910 and thats the proper handle for it. a stropping attachment is what would have been screwed inside of the handle.

1910 models pop up occasionally. not nearly as much as they used to though.
