GEM Junior vs GEM Junior Bar

I'm new to GEM razor and am trying to figure out which ones to get. I've read good things about the GEM Junior Bar. And thought I'd get one of those. But it dawned on me that the GEM Junior and Gem Junior Bar are two different razor. The first being a variation of the 1912 and the second being a lather catcher that can accommodate both wedge blades and newer GEM style blades.

Are there any similarities in how these shave or is the Junior nomenclature the only thing they have in common?

The Gem Junior is a good shaver. I have never tried the other one, but it probably provides a similar shave to other lather catchers, which is generally pretty smooth.
Lather catchers, in general, though, tend to perhaps not secure the blade quite as well as the later designs, although there are certainly exceptions.

Long story short, I like the looks of the first one better, but if I had to choose one of them for shaving, I would take the Gem Junior.

Not sure if its exactly the same head as your razor, but i have this lather catcher. I would say that i prefer how it shave, in comparison to the Gem junior. In my opinion its a better razor

I think this is the exact same head as the Gem Junior Bar, except for the stamping on the back. Would you consider selling it?
