Obama's tie?

Just watch him talking from the oval office. His tie looked like it was tied by a six year old. Surely he has people to make sure he looks good before he goes on tv?

Maybe it was all part of a scheme to make it seem like he's not slept in weeks over the stress of dealing with BP and his mind has regressed so much from sleep deprivation that he can't even dress himself anymore.

Obama could have won more people over with this tie:

It's stylish too. Look at the pictures in any fashion magazine and you will never, ever, ever see a guy wearing a nice straight windsor knot, it's always tied crooked, loose, pulled over to the side etc.

A lot of times he does not even wear one. I think as a president he should wear one more often...any thoughts on this.
I couldn't care less. Bush didn't wear a tie very often either. This is like the debate on whether he should wear a jacket in the Oval Office.....a non-issue IMO.

In my opinion both Obama and Bush have treated their office far too casually. The ruler of a nation should always be in business attire, unless a specific situation calls for something different.

Several presidents have smoked, Several presidents have had messy ties, several presidents have bowed to foreign leaders out of respect, gone with or without suit jackets....maybe it's because I'm young, but none of the character/decorum issues people seem to have with Mr. Obama and how he presents himself bother me at all. Presidents have had different and contrasting styles as long as the office has existed, all the way back to the stylistic differences between Washington and Adams.

YMMV.

Heck, some of 'em didn't even shave.

I think that it may be a case of if the knot is not a full or half Windsor ( or a four in hand with a sport coat) then its a mess.
