Nightmare hair bleaching experience!

I very foolishly gave in to a lady friend and allowed her to lighten my hair color for the summer. Apparently, it was a bleaching product with hydrogen peroxide. It has turned my natural hair color somewhat yellow and given me a rash with burns on the scalp! Anyone else ever had a similar experience? Hopefully not!:blushing:

Yup, did that at 15...

Even the cat got scared...

The irritation'll go away, no worries. Just give it time and be gentle. If I were you, I'd stop washing my hair until the irritation is completely gone. Not washing your hair is actually healthy for your hair and scalp. (seriously - google it)

I used to have neon blue hair, which requires just murdering your hair follicles with bleach before dying. So I know more than I'd usually admit about hair care. lol

Once the irritation goes down, try toning it to reduce the yellow. I've used a little purple Manic Panic mixed with a lot of conditioner. I can't tell you the exact proportions because I've always eyeballed it.

Wash your hair and then leave the conditioner mix on for 15, 30, 45 minutes... however long you want, and then rinse it off.

If you're still too yellow, mix a stronger batch and try again. If you come out beige with a little purple/green, you used too much, but a couple washes will normalize it.

With the title I was afraid th op was going in a different hairb bleaching tale... which I believe has already been discussed

Second weekend away from home after transferring universities mid-semester, I allowed one of the girls from upstairs to "highlight" my hair during a dorm room social occasion that certainly did not involve under-age drinking :nono:. At the time it was naturally a reddish/brown dark auburn mixture, but her "highlight" job turned into a stark white skunk stripe down the middle 3rd of my head. For a few days we mixed in coral red product called Punky Color, then after a few more days (it fades quickly) we dyed it all a very bland brown. My hair has been plain brown/black ever sense, the red never really returned.

17 for me. (on purpose)

My head looked like it was gold-plated.

Just stay away from swimming pools...or your yellow will be green.

That's exactly what happened to my sister!

Fresly blonde :001_rolle Jumped in the pool head first...

Came out 5 minutes later and the kicking and screaming started

6 months ago my girlfriend told me that i would look good with blonde hair,,she showed me a picture of Brad Pit to convince me.
Btw my natural hair color is hazelnut.
So i decided to let her go and bleach my hairs.
She went on and all i can say is that i had a very intense burning sensation while the stuff was on my head.
After one hour i rinsed my hairs and went to look in the mirror.
:w00t:
It was bright yellow.
A horror show totally.
I stayed like that 3 days and went to see the hair specialist at my local pharmacy, and she gave me something to get my natural color back,,and thank god it worked.
