Newb cream question

So I have been wetshaving for a couple of weeks and just did my first DE this morning, interesting experience. Thus far I have been using a soap puck and having pretty good luck. In my acquisitions I got a tube of Omega cream and I'm a little unsure of the best way to go about using it. Do I squirt a little in a bowl and whip up the lather that way, or do I rub the cream on my face and get the lather going with the brush from there (like you would with a stick)?

Thanks in advance!

I lean more to soaps myself, but have a few creams in my lineup. I am also a bowl latherer over a face latherer, so what I do, is put just a small amount of cream on the bristles of my brush and begin to swirl it in the bowl. Just like soap, as it begins to look "pasty" I add just a few drops of water and continue to form the lather. I've seen people squirt a small amount directly into the bowl as well. You'll find your own techniques and be off in no time.

You can either put it on your face and lather, or do it in a bowl. There are those who champion either way. For me I get the best lather by bowl lathering. I just like it more that way. Good luck with whatever you decide.

By the way, when a small amount of cream is squirted from the tube into a bowl or onto a brush it is called a snurdle. Don't ask me why. I wouldn't be able to give you an accurate answer.

Went ahead and bowl lathered with the Omega this morning, also using an Omega boar brush, they came as a nice little set. Wow, I have never bowl lathered before and it just seemed to explode with soft, silky lather. This may make me rethink the whole face lathering thing, this was a whole new experience. Amazing how little it takes too, this big *** 150ml tube is going to last me a good long time.
