New, to me, pair of Church's.but feel a bit odd

I got a pair of church's in my size but they feel a bit odd when on my foot. Specifically they feel very supportive under the arch. These are my first pair of English shoes so I can only compare them to my AEs, but should they feel different?

I am also needing to send them in for restoration. So should I send them to church's for proper restoration (12 weeks of backlog and pricy at about $150) or B Nelson? I appreciate the advice.

Perhaps they molded a bit to the other persons foot. I would suggest B. Nelson from Bob's recommendation
