New shoes and some advice on a belt

So I've been hitting up a Goodwill near my work recently. They get a ton of shoes in this particular store. I've seen 2 pairs of Allen Edmonds already, but none in my size . I'm not giving up though. Oh, as a side note I'd love to get me some brand new AE's, but I currently dont have the dough. Perhaps someday.
The other day I found a nice pair of brown cap toe Johnston & Murphys (pictured below). They look like they may have been worn twice. Pretty much flawless. My size, so I grabbed them for a smooth $7. And of course I went and scuffed up the toes the first time I wore them. Oh well.
Nest question about the other shoes; the suede wingtips. I'm thinking I need a belt that is pretty close in color to these. Am I thinking correctly here? Would a belt like this work?

Nice pickup.

The belt looks pretty close. Some may not agree, but in my opinion is that it doesn't have to match exactly. I have a sued(y) type belt that I got to match a pair of distressed brown AE Kiowa's and after only a few months a few spots where I buckle it (touch with my hands) and where it rubs against the belt loops in my pants have smoothed it, out and its starting to look old and worn. Maybe finding a tan coloured belt that is in the same family of colour, but in smooth leather will work just as well?
