All my ground coffee gets brewed in a double walled stainless cafetiere. I don't faff around with fancy methods, weights, timers etc. One or two scoops of coffee, depending how strong I want it at the time, fill to just under where the screen will sit with the plunger fully out, and wait however long I can be bothered to. I tend to lift the lid and give it a quick stir before shoving the plunger down. No resistance that way.
