Need replacement battery for laptop

I have a Toshiba Satellite m55-23314 laptop that needs a new battery. I have been putting it off and just using the power cord. I came with a 6 cell battery that Toshiba sells for $99(59 on amazon) now. The 9 cell extended battery is $149 (124 on amazon.).

In my opinion these prices even on Amazon are really high for a battery. I can go with the $59 6 cell on amazon but would rather have an extended battery.

Anyone know of any other brand that cells batteries for toshiba laptops that are just as good if not better than Toshiba brand and are cheaper?

If you meant m55-S3314, there are tons of options available via a google search, but they are similar in price to the ones on amazon.

The prices of $80-100 are not at all uncommon for a new laptop battery.

I realize that those prices are not high compared to other new laptop batteries but imo laptop batteries should not be that high. I would like them to be priced around $20-30.

Forget it. The problem with laptop batteries that one size does not fit all, even within the same brand. They are usually unique in shape to the model of laptop they are designed for. That's what makes them expensive.

Good luck, you will never find something that cheap that isn't either crap or a scam.

The lithium-ion raw materials are simply too expensive for that price point to ever be realistic in the near future.

I would like for a shave and haircut to be 2 bits, but my barber does not see it that way.

Lots of luck, I couldn't find anything below $75 for my satellite when I nneded a replacement battery.

Not to mention that the price for lithium is likely to increase in the future with the push toward electric vehicles.

I understand that they are model specific that the parts such as lithium may drive up the cost. That is not really what I am trying to say. Nor am I trying to say I want to find one for $20-30 when they are in the 80-100 range. That would be impossible, crap, or a scam.

My point is say you don't have ANY knowledge of laptop batteries. You don't know what they are made of, if one battery fits all, the price of litium, etc. I would be very surprised if most of you would guess what they sell for. Most of you would guess a price A LOT lower such as I would.

Unless I am in a hurry to get a haircut for a special occasion, I just cut it or have my wife cut it.

My old barber raised his price from $9-10. I honestly was upset and eventually stopped going. I could no longer give him a ten which would include the tip.
Now days I can't find a good cheap barber. The cheapest that i can find are chains such as great clips or super cuts. They usually charge $15 and they for some reason never give me a good haircut?? My wife does a better job and she doesn't have any formal training or cuts anyone elses hair.

My hair is cut short on the sides and a little longer on the top. It literally takes a barber 5 minutes so why should I pay them the same price as the other guy with longer hair that is getting layers/styled haircuts that take 30 minutes??
