Need Help deciding on my rotation razors

Okay guys,

I need some input and advice for my permanent rotation razors. I have 3 slots in my razor stand to fill, and I would like suggestions on which razors I should pursue. Please keep in mind that these 3 would be it and would see continuous use in rotation...no more RAD after this (one would hope).

So here are the criterias:

1. It has to be an open-comb head design. I'm not interested in collecting/ using any other designs at this point.
2. It has to be silver colored (rhodium, nickle, chrome, etc.) I'm just not interested in gold plated
3. It can be vintage or modern (open to suggestions from a Goodfella to a Big Fellow).
4. I would prefer to have a little bit of a difference in shave experience from my current 2 keepers on the rack (I have a Merkur 11c and a Gillette British #15)

Once I've narrowed down my 3, you'll be seeing me on the B/S/T pages with some WTB's.

Okay, so what do you guys suggest I pursue?

Thanks,

--Dennis

I would go with Cooncat's BullDog/Bull Mastiff with either a replated New head or a replated Old head. It delivers a great shave and on the days you do not use it, it looks great in the rack.

These are not open comb, buttttt good rotation shavers:

Modern: Futur
Xtra classic: (that you'll add one day anyway): Slant

They'd both be differennt

Okay, so it's gotta be an open-comb, vintage or new, and silver-esque? No problem:

Silver New Improved
Single Ring/Old Type
New (British) with ball-end

Those were my three main razors, up until I got some RAD and bought a few more to give a tryout. I too feel the same way. I'm considering letting my Slim and Fatboy go, and maybe my thick handled Tech.

+1

The Bull mastiff with the NEW head. From bobsrazorworks

I can't wait to get mine. Should be here in the next couple of weeks

The tip will be silver too. This was a pic of one before it was plated.

Muhle-Pinsel makes a modern open comb but I have not used one personally so I can't comment on how it shaves.

The new open comb from Mühle (R-41) is very mild. It's gorgeous razor, but I found it too mild for my tastes. I have one that will be on B/S/T next week when I'm old enough, but I'm willing to take a pre-order if you're interested. It's a Merkur head, but the plating and workmanship is awesome.
