My Second SE Shave ~
I'm happy to report that my second shave with a “single edged” razor was a success. If you read my first post, you'll know the my first outing with an SE razor was almost good, but a failure in the upper lip area. Fortunately, I got some encouragement from member < Infotech > and some advice on ways to modify my technique to achieve a successful SE shave. He advised me not to adhere so strictly to the original printed GEM instructions for using their razor and it was just the tip I needed. I'm sure that over time my SE shaving technique will improve even further.
This shave was so good that I will be able to include my GEM G-Bar in my regular shaving rotation. The shaving quality provided by this shaver is comparable to a DE shave using “Feather” blade in closeness, comfort and lack of shaving irritation. It was especially outstanding in the troublesome neck area. One word of caution, if you decide give SE shaving a try, be sure to bring your “light touch” just like you would if you were using a “Feather” blade and you will be on the road to shaving nirvana.
Happy shaving!
