It's finally here! I recieved my new 008 new large scuttle in Milky Way in the mail today. This thing is big and beautiful! I'm super happy with the quality. It will be used for the first time tonight, I can't wait!

She's very stout when full of water. The 008 design has a handle the reaches to the bottom so it's very easy to hook your thumb through it in hold the base of the scuttle with your palm so it's heft really isn't much of an issue.
I was initially taken back by how large this thing actually is. It's almost like holding a tea kettle to make your lather! I gave it a try with cold water inside as I cold water face shave, it kept the lather cooler than room temp which was great. Tomorrow I'm shaving my head which I use hot water for so that will be the real test though, I'm sure it will perform great.
I'll have to get a lather pic tomorrow.
