My "new" Milord came in.

Got this 46 Milord today and did some quick cleanup. looks like it has some plating that has come off, but no scratches and mechanically beautiful...maybe a candidate for replating??

Sweet! But I don't think it's a '46. '47 maybe. Is the center bar notched? If not, it is a fairly rare piece, with knurling above the TTO know instead of smooth. I had one and forgot it's configuration, started this thread. If it's notched but not dated, it's probably a '48-'50.

It sure cleaned up nicely. What did you use to clean it?

scrubbing bubbles and a toothbrush, also used an ultrasonic cleaner for the first cleaning to get some of the gunk out of the crevices.

Well, I corrected my error....
WRT being notched, I said "if so, it's a fairly rare piece". Meant to say if NOT it's a fairly rare piece. I've edited the post above....

i guess i am confused on what the center bar is, and what it is to be notched...i think we are talking about the area in the center of this picture?

The center bar is the part you slip into the blade slot.

No, my neighbor is restoring a Motto Guzzi. I found these wiring diagrams and printed them for him.

Thanks T Rick, my photo was focused on the business end of these razors so it does not show the handle well, but yes it is knurled. You most likely already know this but 41 was smooth banded with writing and 46 was smooth banded without writing.

So many razors.....so little time....LOL

not looking to sell this, but what would be the general worth of this razor? the head is missing some gold plating due to heavy use i assume, but everywhere is in pretty good shape.

just being curious! PLUS, if it is worth a little bit of money then i can tell the wife that I make a good investment that might help with future purchases
