My "new" brush

A while back I was lucky enough to meet ShaverJoe when I made a set of scales for his Hart razor, in turn he made me a brush made out of horn. I posted that brush and continue to use it-great brush.

Fast forward a few months and I had Joe make me another brush, this one in Olive wood with tung oil finish. Many back and forth conversations to determine what I like, then a month wait until the tung oil cures. I received the brush about a month ago and have been using it almost daily. It is a fantastic brush, perfect craftsmanship, perfect performance.

The brush was great from the get go and now that the tung oil funk is gone it is better.

Here are some crappy cell phone pics of the brush, but I wanted to give kudos to Joe

I am sure Joe will chime in on the knot specifics.

The knot is a 26mm TGN Finest 2 band XH. One of the best knots out there for the money in my opinion.

Thank you Alfredo for your kind words. Glad you are enjoying the brush.

Gorgeous brush. Joe, keep up the great work. For anyone who doesn't know these two. They both among our finest members IMO. Both are also gifted in their respective crafts.

Congrats on a stunning heirloom piece Alfredo!

Thank you David. You're not so bad yourself.

I hear this guy makes some pretty sweet brushes. :biggrin1:
Really like the shape of the handle. Looks like it would be comfortable to use. Looks a bit like some of the Semogues out there, the 1250 and OC for example, only chubbier. Great work Joe! And congrats on the brush Alfredo!

Couldn't agree more on all counts. :thumbup1:
