What's new

My Manchurian Chubby 3 has arrived - Believe the hype!

My Manchurian Chubby 3 arrived this afternoon. Quite honestly, I have never seen or used a brush like this one.

First of all, the workmanship is first-class. The knot is perfectly shaped (not always the case with Simpsons) and the tips are as white as any brush I have owned. It is probably the densest brush I have ever seen (denser than my other Chubby 3's). The knot has a fine grain that I have only seen in a few M&F brushes, but those brushes felt scratchy to me; this one doesn't. It provides a wonderful and minimally-irritating scrub.

It is not perfect, however - it shed one hair and the badger funk was a bit annoying considering the price of this brush.

Is it worth the price? I have no idea. Am I glad/proud to own it - I sure am! It's an incredible brush!

I have a CH3 2-band on order but after receiving this brush, I am asking myself "what's the point?". Could it possibly be any better than this brush?

Congrats Bob. It looks amazing. Mine just showed up today as well, but it's not a butterscotch. I can't wait to put it into action.

A buddy lent me his Polo 8 Manchurian, and I really liked it. The Chubby must be insane.

I have experienced both the polo and the chubby. I liked the polo a lot, but the sensation of the huge, dense chubby knot is incomparable, in my experience.
