my lucky day a great find

I seem to have great luck at finding nice razors at good prices

I walked into an antique shop today and asked "do you have any razors?", the lady behind the counter said funny you should ask, I just found this 5 minutes ago while dusting.

It appears to be a Lady's Solingen Travel Razor, it's never been used the cellophane is still on the box of blades Best of all it was $5

It's in a gold folding case the fastening button/snap is a flower with a pearl in it's center hopefully you can appreciate it better with these pictures.

Does anyone have any idea how old it is, there are no markings on the razor other than "Made In Germany"

Nice score!!..I have the same set, my guess is they are from the 1960's

Very cool...I have a Gillette travel kit that looks to be the same "gold" material.

I have one and have sold one that were both in the same gold pouch. They were both Gillettes though. I have had a couple of others in leather pouches. These were Gillettes, too but the case said it was made in Germany. I wonder if most of these travel techs were all manufactured there.
