Spent 2 weeks visiting Italy, and I must have the most patient girlfriend of them all, who stood by as I went through every profumeria possible :-D
The only thing I didn't buy is AdP, but at 50E, after all that I had bought, I figured it was just one too many.
I started by buying the original Floid and Valbora at O'Lorenzi's coltelleria in Milan. That place was just so nice. I had a really really great service, and they even gave me a book with the history of the store, which is pretty amazing
They also told me Floid Blue wasn't sold in Italy anymore. I'm not sure how accurate this information was since I found it in the next boutique I found later when getting back to the hotel.
I bought the proraso/prep/palmolive in some supermarkets. Only the proraso white was harder to find, however the rest was very common. I bought Santa Maria Novella in Firenze at their museum/shop. Very nice and worth the stop.
The Cella brick was a challenge. I found it in Rome, but only after going through 3 places. The first, Muzio near the Trevi Fountain, was selling it for 29E!! Then the second place, Bertozzini, was setlling it for around 22E. I finally found it at Durante's profumeria near the Vatican for 16E. Crazy differences in prices. The service at Durante and Bertozzini was very very good.
Anyhow, I am now stocked for quite a while. I tried the SMN this morning and it is definitely the nicest soap I have tried. Can't wait to try the rest
