What's new

My First Shave Stick WONDERFUL!

Yes!
After all these YEARS I finally tried a shave stick.
Oh YEAH!!! I forgot...I wasn't a face latherer either :)
La TOJA was my first and it was a grand experience. I put a lot on...Tho The stick was hardly touched. I ended up with enough for more than 4 passes, I am sure...Lots of fine lather, glide, not moisterizing...
I like it enought that I'll be taking the La TOJA stick and a tube of WARS for a wee trip.

Today I opened a pPALMOLOIVE stick and it was also a fine shave.
These sticks are all that I expect in a shave.
NOTHING less than EXCELLENT!
Today I used much less and still had scads of lather.
I'll be experimenting with soap/water ratios just as I do with all my soaps and creams.

I finished off with my ALUM bar...a staple...
Burberry Brit AS Balm and a good splash or more of 4711 cologne.

A real nice shave

TRY the sticks!
A whole new world awaits...
Tom

Great to hear, shave sticks are just great

Wait till you try a Rosemary Mint shave stick from Mama Bear :w00t:

I am a face latherer but just started using the speick shave stick. WOW. I hope all shave sticks lather so quickly and easily. I love soaps but I usually load soaps for 1-2 minutes. It takes me about 10 seconds to put on face and it lathers instantly with my brush.

shave sticks are pretty cool.

(ive 6 in the mail as we speak )

I too used a shave stick for the first time this week. After 10+ years of wetshaving I finally did it.

I used an Ogallala Bay Rum and Sandalwood stick. Very nice performer and very nice, spicy scent. Reminded me of my grandfather who was a big Bay Rum fan.

Shave sticks are very nice!

I tried the Palmolive SS recently and really loved it, I guess I really need to try Valobra and La Toja too since they get great reviews!
