My Colt 605 “Dissipator” build

I finally finished this build today. I’m not going to call this a “clone” as it’s more of a tribute to a legend using some A1 parts and some not A1/A2 more modern parts.
My goal with this build was to get a rifle I really loved out from the back of my safe and back to the range. Sadly some of my more modern rifles have taken most of my time and attention from this rifle (until now 😃)
This build started as a L.A.R Grizzly-15, which already had the Daniel Defense A1.5 rear sight. Next I just added:
-Colt A1 reconditioned pistol grip from Retro Rifles
-Brownells M16A1 Hanguard
-Wilson Combat three-pronged flash hider
-Colt NOS A2 stock

I think it turned out great. I have a lot of love for KISS rifles and front sight posts. All of mine have a fixed front sight base. I’ve actually been slowly collecting parts for an XM-177E2 myself.

Before you give the range report may I suggest turning the rear sight around. It’s mounted backwards.
