MWF First Time

Alright I just tried MWF for the first time. After all the hype on these forums I had to check it out for myself. I just got a fresh puck and dish in the mail on Friday thanks to another one of the members on here. I was mostly just up for the challenge. I used a Simpsons Chubby 2, 2-band. On my first pass I got just a decent lather. Nothing incredible. Then on my second pass I added just a hair of water and BOOM it exploded into a lather frenzy!!! Pretty much unlike I anything I have used up until this point. After a 2 day stubble I only needed two passes and a touch up for BBS with very little ATG. I just wanted to share my joy of overcoming the challenge of MWF and entering into a new dimension of lather.

It's my favorite.Maybe we should have an MWF lovers thread. Wool-heads? Fatboys? Or thinking back to my favorite Skittles commercial, Sheep Boys.

Glad you liked it. For me the lather was always to airy. I didn't care for the scent and it dried my skin. But like they say opinions vary.

MWF is certainly a great soap- I love the mild scent, the great performance and the way in which my skin feels post-shave.

Mostly you are referred to simply as Woolies. I never could get the lather just right so gave up on it. Congratulations on finding a soap that works great for you.

Cheers, Todd

After a year and a half of wet shaving I gave MWF one more chance--actually, two or three more chances--over the weekend, and I finally nailed it. I finally got the thick, stable, luxurious, and slick lather that many shavers report. I had previously followed all of the advice threads (Mantic's video, distilled water, chopping/grating the puck, soaking the puck, extra loading time, boar brush, etc.), but with little or no luck. Having added a bit of distilled water to the surface of my chopped/grated/repacked puck, I found, surprisingly, that my Muhle HJM black fibre brush works much better with MWF than my Omega boar (10066), though, to be fair, the boar brush has only been used every other day for two months and perhaps needs more break-in. I used a damp (squeezed and shaken) brush, load MWF for 2 full minutes (as I've learned to have to do with Pre de Provence as well), and occasionally add a drop or two of water to the breech of the brush. The extra loading time for MWF (as well as for PdP) has been worth it. Enough really nice lather for 4+ passes--certainly more than I need.

Fresh washed sheets at a cottage in the English countryside in the late spring when you are just opening your eyes to the dappled sunlight twinkling through the green leafy branches swaying in the morning breeze, as the soft bleating of sheep in the meadow announce the coming of a new day.

Truly amazing soap. The slick, thick protection it gives you is simply amazing.

I'll let the picture tell the story.

MWF bears comparison with anything I've ever tried and is a worthy addition to any rotation - enjoy.

Well after just recently reading that I might have a an allergy to my current soap I might have to hop on the MWF train. Does anyone know a preferred vendor that sells it?
