I noticed that my mug of Col Conk Bay Rum hadn't been touched for months so I grabbed it to shave with this morning. Very pleasant reminder of just how good of a shaving soap it is. Easy to lather. Mild but very pleasant bay rum scent. Ample slickness. Used a 28 mm synthetic brush (DS Cosmetics handle with a Maggards black with white tips knot). Shaved with a Mach 3 handle with Personna cartridge for the first two passes and a Fusion Power with Personna cartridge for the 3rd pass. Followed up with Bootleggers original bay rum aftershave. Couldn't be more well pleased.

Apparently Col. Conk has a new soap base out. Wonder how much it has improved. The glycerin base was my first real soap (4 pack sampler). Thanks for bringing out some forgotten soaps.
Congrats on getting a great shave. Col. Conk has been providing great shaves for a number of years.
Anyone tried the Amber scent? Looks like an interesting scent!
I hadn't looked at their offerings lately and they also seem to have a "Natural" line of shaving creams instead of the traditional soaps.
Bold Lavender and Cedar & Rosemary caught my eye.
I might have to give them a try!

The scent of Amber us very light. If left in a open mug it will practically turn unscented. Col Conk's scents are all on the lighter side IMO. Bay Rum and Lime were the ones that stood out of the 4 pack.
