What's new

mwf + ? = awesome

I've been looking at buying some Mitchell's wool fat for the fall but don't know what kind of aftershave to go with it. What's your favorite after shave to use with da fat?

Aqua Velva! I just had this revelation the other day. I was enjoying the scent of MWF and I thought it reminded me of another scent.... turns out it was AV.

I usually reach for the Master Topaz when I use MWF. I am traveling and the fat came with me (no way would I trust it home alone). All I have for AS with me is Clubman and Clubman special reserve. The fat goes with either of these too (does not have much choice in the matter)

Any aftershave works well with MWF!

Yup.

As with most shaving soaps, the scent is not strong, and doesn't last long enough to clash with the aftershave, or likewise, cologne.
It's no different than wondering what AS/cologne to use after showering with Ivory.

Anything that brings you back years to those little Barber shops.
For me, after MWF slap on the Clubman or Lucky tiger.

It's one of the many wonderful things about MWF - due to it's light, neutral, yet pleasant scent, it pairs well with ANY aftershave.

as someone who is also looking at a first purchase of MWF, how would you describe the scent...is it as someone says above "a reminder of Aqua Velva", I assumed it was not a scented such as that...not to offend the AV lovers, but me and AV dont mix....dont want to invest in MWF if this is the case...

Ridnovir the skin food is a little outta my league at the moment but Ive had my eye on it for a while. Maybe after xmas. I took Foyles and Traps38 ideas and got some captains choice and some lucky tiger. Thanks for the help guys!

Dirty Donuts are so Good.
Classic Ice Blue Aqua Velva is THE aftershave to have when using:

MWF
Arko
Williams (modern or vintage)

I think it may have been predestined by God to be used with white tallow soaps.

In the summer MWF and Floid is awesome. At the moment I am using MWF and Jermyne Street as and asb. Great for the colder evenings.
