Merkur HD what is that?

One question I have is many people mention the Merkur HD. What does the HD stand for? I am currently looking at the Merkur 33c Classic because of the price at this time. But I was wondering what the HD means.

Really? I thought it stood for "Hot Damn" that's a good razor.

The HD also comes with a slant bar head (37G and 37C) and an open-comb head (11C). The G and C in the model numbers stand for Gold and Chrome.
