If this razor is priced competitively with the current 34 and it shaves the same, it's going to be a big winner. The merkur 34 is still one of my all-time favorite razors. Thanks for the photo.

I think he is referring to the latest post. It doesn’t say it’s the 34C clone. I thought they had a few new razors coming out—one with UFO-like tech or something. Last time I talked to a rep from IB, they said they were working on a 34C clone but didn’t know when. This was in February 2024.

I'm starting to get nervous about making overseas purchases lately. Awhile ago I ordered some custom boots from Jim Green in South Africa. Takes about 45 days from ordering to get them. Like a week after I order we declared the South African ambassador persona non grata and ended favorable trade agreements.
Then I order the very last Yaqi Slant 37 on Aliexpress and the NEXT day there's rumors of an anti-Xi Jinping purge in the officer ranks in the PLA. And my tracking says my razor only got to the local sorting location in country.
CAN THE WORLD JUST HOLD IT TOGETHER LONG ENOUGH SO I CAN GET MY BOOTS AND RAZOR ALREADY!?
And I don't dare place an order from Canada!

Lately, IB has been low key with their releases so hopefully that means I can get one easily before they sell out.
Anyone know what handle these come with or if they will sell a head only option?
I'm very excited about this release. I have said it before if the 34c would come in stainless, it would probably be my Grail razor.
I’ll probably order one if I see it in time, but I currently have a Dovo Primo on its way in the mail.
They are not for sale yet, so no one can know for sure.
Based on other IB/RR stainless razors there will be many options.
I've been waiting to try a Mamba 70 baseplate, so this be my first try with a 34c in all these years if I decide to order. I've never been a fan of Merkur plating/fit/finish.

I would presume their standard offerings - most definitely their HD with a head alone option after initial release - but who knows.
Guessing it will probably accommodate their Vintage and Titanium handles as well
Though I have a 34c and a sledgehammer - I confess to very limited use. I’ll probably give them some love in May after Vintage April, but yes their finish is poor in contrast to Mühle and KCG - keeping comparison within my Zamak heads.
I won’t be in this mix, given already having the Merkur, but when the screwpost gives out I’ll definitely look towards the SS head in replacement.
