Mama Bear's Sandalwood Vanilla is a really nice twist to sandalwood that I've really become a big fan of. There's my 2¢

The sandalwood component is similar, yes. However, QED's sandalwood doesn't have the cedar or "pencil shaving" notes that Tam Dao does.

FWIW, straight razor designs currently sells a glycerin based sandalwood EO soap. It's been said that it smells very very similar to the QED version, but that the QED version may smell a tad stronger. I have it on the way to try, but I can say that I have their blood orange soap and that it lathers just as well as mama bear soap.

And, the QED sandalwood is now available again via the group buy, if you can wait for it.

Sorry, I have no idea how the mysore sandalwood compares to either, but I was curious myself and now it seems we have some idea (that it does not compare).
