Making the Transition from Vision to Slant

The only safety razor I have used is a Vision. Some people recommended against this razor for a novice wetshaver, but I figured that anything else would be simple by comparison if I learned how to use it properly. After about 6 months, I think I have developed fairly decent technique (although there's always room for improvement).

I just treated myself to a 37G slant for the holidays which arrived in the mail today. My first impression was the remarkable difference in size and weight between the 2 razors. Now I need some sage words of advice on making this transition. I am thinking of things such as:

-where to grip the razor (the Vision has a comfortable concavity which affords good balance; looking for the comparable sweet spot for the 37G)
-incident angle to the skin (to get the "ideal" 30 degree blade angle I actually tilt the handle of the Vision to about 45 or 60 degrees)
-difference in length of strokes
-tips on shaving the neck, the chin and under the nose
-how hard to tighten the razor when loading blades
-anything else you can help with

Thanks in advance!

One more thing:
-cleaning and maintenance (e.g. I have heard that one should not use Scrubbing Bubbles on a gold-plated razor)

Thanks
