M&L Florida Water. differences between Peruvian and American versions

I experienced M&L Florida Water a couple of months before I started wetshaving, and before I even used aftershave. The Florida Water was part of a ceremony I did with a Peruvian Shaman. The scent was great, but I never thought I would see or use it in any other situation. Didn't know the history or the many uses.

Fast forward to a couple months ago. My friend (who was also part of that ceremony) and I linked up for a couple days (he lives a few states away) and he gave me a bottle of Peruvian Florida Water. I love it.

I am always looking for FW in different drug stores, convenience stores, etc, and eventually I found it at Stop and Shop of all places. It was M&L, but it was different from the one my friend gave me. The bottle was a little smaller, and the juice was green, instead of yellow. The scents are similar, but there is definitely a difference. I cant pinpoint the difference, but it is there. I think the green, US one smells more synthetic than the Yellow version. Maybe? I dont know, maybe its placebo. I also think the yellow one lasts longer.

Does anyone know the differences in M&L Florida Water versions?

Thank you very much for that! It looks like the Peruvian version has alcohol made from fermented cane sugar. Very interesting. I will have my friend pick me up some more, and my Peruvian FW is getting low.

It also has (at least to my nose)a slightly different scent,maybe more spicy than the American.
